By the end of 2007 I realized
that 2008 was going to be the beginning of a whole
new walk of faith for me.
God started showing me many
new ideas that I feel are key to the success of families
in Nicaragua. My MAIN
goals are to see these families become self-sufficient,
and in love with Jesus. Families in Nicaragua are
proud of who they are and desire to provide for their
familes just like we do. Unfortunately, they do not
have the resources to do so. That is how we can help.
I have heard stories of how
purchasing a simple wooden hoe and shovel turned an
entire community from starvation to having enough
crops to feed their family and sell to others. It
can be that simple. It is my plan to go and research
these villages and find out just what it will take
to change the lives of many hungry families and along
the way telling them about Jesus and how He wants
to supply their every need.
I am still praying about what
to do and how to accomplish it. For now I feel the
items below are the areas of focus I will begin with.
Please partner in prayer with me that I will have
wisdom and clear direction from the Lord as I move
forward and that the finances needed will be easily
obtained.
1. Traveling in new territories
on a more consistent basis. (At least once a month
for the next 6-8 months)
2. Researching the new villages
and determining the needs of that community as well
as selecting at least one village to start working
in.
3. Scoping out property and
real estate to either purchase an existing facility
or build one that can hold team members and staff.
4. Developing partnerships
with churches, companies and persons who have the
same interest.
