Lack of education and poverty are directly linked. It is my priority to ensure that children have access to education and the necessary materials to attend school as such. Children involved in this sponsorship program receive school supplies, shoes and uniforms. By assisting parents in providing these elements, the children are more able to attend school and receive an education.

In 2009 49 children received the necessary supplies to attend school but wearing the same uniform every day has taken it's toll on the clothes. We hope this year to supply them with an additional uniform as well as we are adding on another 36 children to the list for the 2011 school year that starts in February.

All donations made to Operation Education go directly to purchasing the needed supplies. There are no overhead costs involved. Currently all the 83 children for 2011 have been sponsored but there is still a financial need for additional suppplies as the cost has risen greatly due to the increase of rain they have had this season.
