I
am currently working on the following projects in
Nicaragua. If you see any area you can help in,
please feel free to contact me.
Adopt-A-Family
During this
months trip I found a village that is on the Honduras
border and the men and women are so far away from
town that they choose to smuggle goods across the
border to feed their children. Mothers and fathers
risk their lives every day.
They desperately need employment
but there are no jobs to be found.
After talking to them I found
that just having food to feed their kids would help
in this process so I am asking people to join me
by Adopting one of the families in Coffadia.
For $65 I can buy a shovel,
hoe, mattic, seeds and an irrigation system and
teach these people to grow their own food. This
investment would last for years to come.
Would you be willing to Adopt
one of the 46 homes in this village?
If you can't pay the full
amount would you consider donating something toward
the cost of a wheel barrow? They are very expensive
in Nicaragua so I am going to purchase several for
them to share.
Are you a part of a Sunday
school class, a bible study? If everyone chipped
in it could be only dollars per person.
Make a difference in someone's
life today. Provide them with a way to eat on a
regular basis.
All monies received is tax
deductible, you can mail your check to the address
listed on the left and mark it Adopt-A-Family.
Shoes
for The Shoeless
Each year
I purchase new shoes to send down on a container
or we carry them in our luggage. I purchase them
from local stores at the lowest cost I can find,
which is usually .50 cents a pair. I can never have
enough so if you see Flip-Flops on sale, grab them
or call me so I can.
Bucket
Drip Irrigation
God has connected
me with a wonderful family that shares my desire
to help the families of Nicaragua become self sufficient.
He told me about an irrigation system that has been
proven to work in drought locations and we are not
working to start this project in poverty stricken
villages in the Somotillo area of Nicaragua.
The Bucket
Drip Irrigation system will allow families to irrigate
their gardens and produce excellent crops which
they can not do today due to the consistent heat.
This process has been working in many third world
countries successfully. The cost is $15. We will
also provide seeds and gardening tools to assist
in this project. The total cost to help a family
will be $25. This project has been introduced to
several pastors in the area and all are extremely
excited for us to get started. They see this as
an avenue to not only provide food for these families
but possibly an income for them as well.
If you would
like to sponsor a family for $25 and change their
lives drastically, please click on the Irrigation
button to the left to pay by Debit/Credit/Check
or mail your check to the address below and mark
it Bucket Drip Project, remember all donations are
tax deductible:

Reading
Glasses Needed
If you are over
40 it's likely you have purchased reading glasses
or you are about to. If you have glasses that you
don't use any more and you know the strength of
them I would love to take them off your hands.
I can't use
prescription glasses because they are made for the
indiviudal and giving them to a needy person may
cause more problems than being helpful.
Your
Junk Is Someone's Treasure
Each time
I send out a newsletter I try to pick something
that I know I will need come July. You may think
it is just junk, but to a little boy or girl who
has nothing, that old McDonald's Happy Meal toy
is a treasure. Here is a list of the items I am
always in need of
